Victor & Victrola Phonographs

Victor Victrola “The Twentieth”

Sharing mechanical components with the Victor VI, such as the 3-spring motor, yielding turntable, gold-plated tone arm, etc., this was made only for about one year (1908). It was Victor’s most expensive inside-horn phonograph and cost so much that it was available only to the rich upper classes. The Laguna mahogany cabinet, with gilded gingerbread trim all combined to make an ornate luxurious showpiece at home in the finest of mansions.

Victor VI with Base cabinet

A stunning Victor VI, in fabulous restored condition. It sits atop a base cabinet (see page 6L for a full description) that was custom-made specifically for this model of phonograph. What a package!

Victor D

This phonograph is actually a Victor V, which started life labeled as a “D” on the nameplate. It has all the elements of the slightly later V, including a 3-spring motor, 12” turntable, etc. and is in superb condition, with a later-made Victor oak “spear-tip” horn.

Victor V

The Victor V (aka “Victor the Fifth”) shared the same mechanical components with the prestigious Victor VI, but housed in a Mission Oak case. One of the most popular Victor models back in it’s day and even more so today.

Mahogany Victor MS

This mahogany Victor MS is one of only two originals known to exist. It has been fully restored, preserving the original finish, and has the original leather horn elbow.

A rare, rare piece if there ever was one!

Victor Factory Fire Alarm Box

A great piece of historical memorabilia - an original fire alarm call box from the Victor factory, station #164, restored to as-new condition. Custom manufactured for Victor by Gamewell, to their specifications, showing the famous Nipper logo.

It has the complete inner workings and has been electrically coupled with an alarm bell that can be actuated (perhaps at Happy Hour time?).

This particular fire alarm box was featured and pictured in the book History of the Fire Alarm and Police Telegraph, considered to be the Bible of the subject.
